Managed Receiving


Managed receiving is the process of managing the receipt of goods or materials at a warehouse or other storage facility. This typically involves coordinating with suppliers to ensure that the right goods are delivered at the right time, and then verifying that the received goods match the purchase order and are in good condition. Managed receiving can help to improve the efficiency of a supply chain and reduce the risk of errors or losses.

Managed Receiving is associated with managed delivery and delivery monitoring. It's the process of monitoring the delivery of one or more products or services, from the point it was ordered to the point it was delivered. The task can include:

    • Verification of Acceptance by the Supplier.
    • Verification the supplier is on-track for the desired delivery.

Franny at ABC Parts says they are waiting on a part which will come in Tuesday and so they will be four days late."
