How does Aestiva price its products?
Aestiva prices its products aggressively to meet the needs of small businesses, mid-sized organizations, and large enterprises.

Small and mid-sized business pricing is posted on the web site. Enterprise pricing is provided upon request. Call for details.

Can Aestiva products support one-thousand plus users?
Yes. Aestiva products can be scaled to over one-thousand users. Call for details.

Why are there no monthly fees?
Aestiva does not charge annual or monthly licensing fees since Aestiva is not a rental service or Application Service Provider. Aestiva software is installed onto your equipment or into a standard hosting account.

Annual fees are limited to optional customer support and upgrade contracts.

How does Aestiva charge for support and upgrades?
Aestiva bundles software upgrades with support services. Annual support and upgrade contracts are priced at 16% of the current product value for values over $25,000, 18% of the current product value for values over $10,000 and 25% of the current product value for values below $10,000. Annual support and upgrade contracts are optional.

Products priced up to $5,000 include 90 days of support (for IT and application admins) and upgrades at no extra charge. Products priced over $5,000 include one year of support and upgrades at no extra charge.

What is an HTML Design Setup?
HTML Design Setups, when included with the purchase of a product, covers the design setup of one or more web pages and/or electronic forms. HTML design setups include initial design plus two rounds of changes. See Aestiva's Support Policies for details.

What are Product Extensions?
Product Extensions is how you add more users and/or more features to a product. The cost of extending a product is equal to the difference in cost between the two versions if the original version is within its support/upgrade period. If not, the cost is the difference plus the cost of upgrading the original version.

What are PSAs?
PSAs are "Professional Support Agreements." They are not required for the purchase and delivery of an Aestiva product but are required when purchasing Professional Services, such as programming or management services. For further information see Aestiva's Product Support Policies.

Can products be reprogrammed to fit my needs?
Most Aestiva products can be reprogrammed. Programming changes are handled by Aestiva's Professional Services group. Speak to an Aestiva representative for further information.

Is installation free?
Yes. Aestiva products include free installation, even if you are hosted at a 3rd-party hosting provider. If Aestiva does not have access to the equipment then Aestiva will work with the administrator who manages the server to ensure a smooth and fast install. Administrators can also install products themselves using Aestiva's install notes and automated installation wizards.

Do I need to pay extra for setup?
In general, setup is provided at no additional cost. However, in some cases, extra costs can occur. Read Aestiva's Support Policy page for details.

How many IT hours per year should be allocated for the maintenance of Aestiva products?
None. You will not need to allocate any overhead to the maintenance of Aestiva products. Once a product is installed all administration is done by the application administrator using a browser-based control panel. No access to the server is needed. The IT department's only job is to keep the hardware running and backed up.

Do I need an HTML/OS engine to run an Aestiva product?
Yes. The HTML/OS engine is the "kernel" behind all Aestiva products. An HTML/OS Runtime engine is included at no extra charge with the purchase of any Aestiva product.

What if I already have a copy of HTML/OS?
If you already have a copy of HTML/OS then an additional copy of HTML/OS is not needed. A single HTML/OS engine can run many products.

Will I need to purchase additional software to run an Aestiva product?
No. Only a browser is needed on the PCs that access your Aestiva product. Plus, Aestiva products use HTML/OS, a high-performance maintenance-free database engine. The purchase, installation, or integration with another database engine is not necessary.

Do Aestiva products require special plug-ins or Java applets?
No. Aestiva products require no special plug-ins or Java. Aestiva products work with standard web browsers without any need for browser upgrades or special browser configuration.

Can Aestiva products be installed into an existing web site?
Yes. Aestiva products do not interfere with existing web sites. They are installed into their own folder and will work side-by-side without affecting other web pages, products or tools installed in the site.

Do I need to be technical to use an Aestiva product?
You do not need to be technical to use Aestiva products. Products are point-and-click. And if you do need assistance, Aestiva's support department is there to help you.

The only products Aestiva sells requiring technical skills are Aestiva's development tools for web developers. They require a knowledge of HTML and some scripting skills. But even here, Aestiva's support department is available to help. No outside technical assistance is necessary.

How can I try Aestiva products before purchasing?
Aestiva offers over-the-phone demonstrations with an Aestiva sales representative. A sales rep will walk you through the product you wish to see. Demonstrations are conducted daily.

Do you accept Purchase Orders?
Yes. Aestiva accepts purchase orders from educational institutions and organizations that have been approved for 30-day billing terms. Credit application required.

Yes. Products are packaged into a single file that's easily backed up.

Do Aestiva products include a guarantee?
Yes. All Aestiva products include a minimum 30-day "100% satisfaction or your money back" guarantee (less shipping and handling).

Can I use Aestiva products on more than one domain?
Aestiva products are licensed for use by a single organization, on a single domain name. They may not be copied except for backup or redeployment purposes. For further information see your software licensing agreement. Speak to an Aestiva sales representative if you need multi-domain, multi-company, multi-copy, or enterprise licensing.
