What is required to install Aestiva Leave Request?
Aestiva Leave Request installs into any intranet. There are no special hardware requirements since only a web server (such as IIS or Apache) is needed. If you are unsure, ask an Aestiva sales rep to find out for you.

How long does it take to get installed?
Allow one to three business days for Aestiva to install your copy. Installation and installation support is included with purchase.

Do I need to install it myself?
No. Aestiva will walk you or your server admin through the installation process.

Is there software to install on staff equipment?
No. Aestiva Leave Request uses no plug-ins or Java applets. And staff can use any kind of browser and any kind of computer. Staff can use the equipment they have in place now.

Can I use a MacOS X, Unix or Linux Server?
Yes. Aestiva Leave Request is 100% web-based, so you can use any computer hooked up to the intranet. The system can be hosted on more than a dozen different platforms including Linux, Mac OS X, and Sun OS.

Yes. The admin can set up users, managers and departments as well as who gets email notifications.

Yes. Requests are archived so staff and managers can view past requests.

Yes. Aestiva Leave Request comes with password access-control. The admin can set which people in a department have access to the Aestiva Leave Request system.

Yes. Aestiva Leave Request can display accrued leave. Aestiva Leave supports a wide variety of accrual calculations. Alternatively, leave data can be imported from an external systems and posted directly on each user's leave request form.

Can managers see who is on leave before approving/rejectingrejecting a leave request?
Yes. Aestiva Leave Request forms can include a calendar, so managers can view staff leave dates (without having to exit the screen) before approving or rejecting a leave request.

What if I need Systems Integration?
Aestiva Leave Request was designed to integrate with existing systems. Single Sign-on capability is provided at no extra charge. And Aestiva Leave can pull and push information from and to other systems. Systems integration is provided at a reasonable cost since Aestiva Leave includes an integration module called Exchanger. Ask your Aestiva representative for a cost quote. In general, systems integration costs run about 10-20% of the cost of the product.
