Why are there no monthly fees?
Aestiva is not a rental service or Application Service Provider. The software we sell is installed into your hosting account or onto your Web server.

Is installation free?
Yes. Aestiva products include free installation, even if you are hosted at a 3rd-party hosting provider. Aestiva will contact your hosting provider or system administrator on your behalf, if requested, to ensure a smooth and fast install. You are also free to install a product yourself using our install notes and Web Install Wizards.

Do I need a copy of the Runtime or Professional edition of HTML/OS to run an Aestiva product?
Yes. Aestiva products require either the Runtime or Professional editions of HTML/OS to run. The Runtime edition is a minimal, lower-cost version of the Professional edition. It is all you need if you do not plan on doing any programming.

Prices marked on this web site include the HTML/OS runtime engine unless noted otherwise. If you are unsure which kind of engine you need, please consult an Aestiva sales representative.

Aestiva includes free install help with the purchase of HTML/OS or any product that includes HTML/OS Runtime edition.

What if I already have a copy of HTML/OS?
If you already have a copy of HTML/OS in your hosting account, then an additional purchase of HTML/OS is not needed. A single copy of HTML/OS can run many products.

Will I need to purchase additional software to run an Aestiva product?
No. Only a browser is needed on the PCs that access your Aestiva product. Plus, Aestiva products use HTML/OS, a high-performance maintenance-free database engine. The purchase or installation of another database engine is not necessary.

Do Aestiva products require special plug-ins or Java applets?
No. Aestiva products require no special plug-ins or Java, work with standard Web browsers and AOL users. Once you purchase and install your product, staff and customers can access your Aestiva products over the web immediately.

Can Aestiva products be installed into an existing Web site?
Yes. Aestiva products do not interfere with existing Web sites. They are installed into their own folder and will work side-by-side without affecting other Web pages, products or tools already installed in the site.

Do I need to be technical to use an Aestiva product?
You do not need to be technical to use Aestiva products. Products are point-and-click. And if you do need assistance, Aestiva's own support department is there to help you.

The only products Aestiva sells requiring technical skills are Aestiva's development tools for web developers. They require a knowledge of HTML and some scripting skills.

How can I try Aestiva products before purchasing?
Aestiva offers over-the-phone demonstrations with an Aestiva sales representative. A sales rep will walk you through any product you wish to see. Demonstrations are conducted daily between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., California Time.

Can I purchase Aestiva products over the phone?

Can I purchase Aestiva products with a Purchase Order?
Yes. Aestiva accepts purchase orders from educational institutions and organizations that have been approved for 30-day billing terms. Credit application required.

Can I back up the products I purchase?
Yes. Products are packaged into a single file that you can copy onto your hard drive or on a CDROM. A copy of the product will also be placed in your hosting account.

Do Aestiva products include a guarantee?
Yes. All Aestiva products include a 30-day "100% satisfaction or your money back" guarantee (less shipping and handling).

Are there licensing restrictions?
Yes. Aestiva products are for use by a single company or organization, on a single domain name. They may not be copied except for backup or redeployment purposes. For further information see your software licensing agreement. Speak to an Aestiva sales representative if you need enterprise pricing.
